LaSt/OpEn AsSiGnMeNt!

Our last assignment was also open, but this time I had an idea of where I wanted to take my pictures at. The place I chose was Imperial beach, my favorite place to be. I wasnt able to choose one picture because I loved all three. When you look at each picture it sort of eases your mind and takes you to a peaceful place. I think these were the best pictures I've taken all year!

ArT sHoW!

For this assignment we were able to shoot anything we wanted, so i just decided to shoot the sunset around Palm. After touching it up in photoshop, using the brightness and contrast and hues I came up with this result and I, personally, like the result. I very much enjoy the sunset and love taking pictures of it! This assignment was not as hard as the others, just maybe a little because at first I didn't know what to shoot.

MaYa AnGeLoU qUoTe!

The quote I chose from Maya Angelou was "I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back". The reason I chose this quote was because I could visualize my model and how she could pose, and the prop of a baseball glove came straight to my mind. Taking my pictures outside was a bit difficult because of the lighting and finding a perfect spot for my model to sit and pose. But in the end I believe my photo came out okay.

WiNtEr!

We were give the assignment to pick any season of our choice and dress up our model in the attire of the time period we chose and create a photoshoot! The season I chose was winter. The reason I chose winter was because it is my favorite season and I love using the whole warm clothing. At the beginning of this photoshoot, it was a bit difficult because I had to figure out poses and props that would look wintery. After some time it got a bit easier and I was able to find props that made it look like winter and the poses just came like nothing. Then after my photoshoot I used my color pallet for my brushes and it made my picture complete! I was very pleased with my result because it gave the impression of a cold, snowy season !

eLeMeNtS oF DeSiGn

I believe this was the easiest assignment so far because we were able to use a digital camera, which made things way easier. I chose elements Elements of Design because it seems as if everywhere you look theirs either color, space, texture, line, shape & form. There were so many things I was able to take pictures of but nature seemed to be the one calling! In my pictures you were able to see each one of these elements.

For this assignment we had to use photoshop to make our pictures look softer and view less blemishes. I had alot of fun with this assignment because i learned how to play a little more with photoshop!

FaShiOn PhOtO sHoOt!

I was so excited to hear when we were going to do a fashion photo shoot! Personally, i just love the checkered shirt or flannel look with jeans and some vans or chucks! It's a very casual, yet cute look. So thats what i decided to have my models wear! When i began shooting, i had to picture how my models would pose, i didn't want any sharp or perfect poses because it wouldn't go with their style. So i told them to just pose casual, but yet look fierce at the same time. I believe this Photo shoot was easier than my first, i believe my pictures came out really good, well at least better than last time! I enjoyed doing this very much! I hope we do it again!

SeLf-PoRtRaiT

When I began my Self-Portrait, ideas were flowing through my head! It was a project we had to do of our selves, a way we could express things we like in a simple picture. Starting my self-portrait was a bit difficult because my picture would not want to paste on to my background, so i had to paste my background to my picture. After that things became easier. The reason my facial expression is smiling and looking to the side is because whenever you see me, thats how my face is! I used alot of color because i have no favorite color, i love all colors! Dark, bright, neon! anything! and the "M" stands for Michelle, the first letter of my name! The 16 of course stands for my age. I also added music notes because i LOVE to dance and i also play the piano. This pretty much is who i am, im not a very complicated person! P.S.(i know my picture is not supposed to be in the middle but it was the only way my background would come out! sorry!)
